The Pace Center for Girls in Alachua recently held its 26th annual Scramble for Pace golf tournament to raise money for its important academic and social programs that help girls who have been through trauma. The center is also celebrating more than 40 years of making a difference in the country. Recently, students went to the Florida State Capitol to talk to lawmakers directly. The current campus initiatives focus on helping young women get ready for life after graduation by helping them explore careers in healthcare and get professional workforce certifications.
