The “Kenny Dollar Store” was introduced at Kenwood Elementary School in 2026. The school incentive program permitted students to earn “Kenny Dollars” for their participation, behavior in the classroom, and involvement in school. Students could exchange their rewards for items such as books, art supplies, and other prizes during the school year. The school also celebrated student achievement when a second-grade student earned first place in the elementary division of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical and Poster Contest. In addition, students participated in reading activities during Read Across America Week and family events such as Science Night and Skate Night throughout the academic year.
