The Ray V. Pottorf Elementary School is part of a district-wide expansion of the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program, adding new classrooms and extended full-day learning options. This is a strong positive development because it: Increases early childhood education access, Supports school readiness for young learners and Reduces costs for families while improving foundational skills. The School District of Lee County approved a major 10-year capital plan and 2025–2026 budget, including significant funding for school improvements, infrastructure, and modernization. This benefits the school through: Safer, upgraded classrooms and facilities, Better learning environments and Long-term sustainability and growth capacity
