In 2025, Rock Island Elementary saw the debut of its student violin ensemble which had more than 25 students in active participation and performance at school-related activities within the year. This was due to the collaboration between arts and education groups, including extra-curricular activities in school, where the creation of such ensemble became one of the most prestigious activities by Rock Island's students. In addition, Rock Island is still adding new programs in art and enrichment this 2025-2026 academic year, especially after forming an innovation zone partnership with Fort Lauderdale city.
