Broward Detention Center is working on new programs that focus on rehabilitation. The center has educational programs on site, such as core academic subjects, GED preparation, and vocational training. This lets young people keep going to school while they are in custody. They also offer workshops on anger management, substance abuse counseling, and life skills to help teens learn how to deal with problems in a healthy way.
