In January 2026, seven 5th-grade students from Citrus Grove participated in the Volusia County Schools All-County Music Performance at DeLand High School, representing the school in a district-wide arts event. 38 students earned prizes in the Superintendent’s Winter Reading Challenge after logging reading minutes over the Thanksgiving and winter break. Rewards included arcade cards and Sky Zone jump passes, encouraging literacy and student engagement. The school recently hosted its annual Spelling Bee, with a student winning the championship for the second consecutive year—an impressive academic milestone.
