Champion Elementary School is proud to continue to be recognized as a high performing “A” rated campus, a reflection of the outstanding academic growth and commitment of its young scholars. The school was buzzing recently with a high-energy “Math Mastery Challenge” where families joined their children for interactive logic puzzles and geometric building tasks. The campus also got a community grant to expand its “Champion Creators” art studio with new digital media and graphic design tools for students.
Q1. What STEAM activities are available for students in the Champion El discovery labs?
Ans. Students also collaborate to solve weekly engineering challenges and learn basic coding projects to help build their problem solving and technical skills early on.
Q2. Does Champion El have any family wide academic learning events?
Ans. We host “Champion Learning Nights” where families play educational games together and learn new strategies for supporting math skills.
Q3. How does Champion El celebrate its students' different cultural backgrounds every year?
Ans. Students contribute to a strong sense of community pride by sharing their traditions and food at our “Heritage Fair” each year.
Q4. What leadership roles are available for older students at the Champion El campus?
Ans. Fifth graders can volunteer to be on the “Safety Patrol” to assist younger students and staff during morning arrival routines.
Q5. Does Champion El have any special support for students that are new to the Daytona Beach area?
Ans. Our counselor meets with new families to ensure students feel welcomed and have everything they need to get off to a great start.
