Being Updated
This week, Seaside Science Day was a huge success at Beachside Elementary School! Students participated in hands-on marine biology experiments and learned about local coastal conservation. The campus is currently showcasing its new literacy partnership with local authors, which has seen a significant increase in student-led book clubs this semester. The school’s physical education department was also recognized for its innovative “Beach Walk” program that promotes daily outdoor activity and student wellness.
Q1. How does Beachside El use its coastal location to teach students about the local environment?
Ans. Our students learn to protect our local shoreline through hands-on marine biology lessons and beach clean-ups.
Q2. What kind of support does Beachside El have for students who may be struggling with reading?
Ans. We offer small group literacy classes with teachers providing extra attention to help all children become confident readers.
Q3. Does Beachside El have an incentive program that rewards students for being kind and demonstrating good behavior?
Ans. Yes, students earn “Positive Fins” for being helpful, which they can trade in for fun rewards during our school-wide celebrations.
Q4. Does Beachside El have any extracurricular clubs that focus on the arts or music?
Ans. Students are invited to join our campus choir or art club to develop their creativity through performances and local gallery displays.
Q5. How do parents at Beachside El get updates on their child’s progress during the week?
Ans. Teachers use digital apps with families to keep in touch, share quick updates and photos.
