In recent months, Southside Primary School became the center of public attention owing to the outstanding success achieved by the Okaloosa County School District in the implementation of the Voluntary Prekindergarten program. Specifically, the school was acknowledged for having produced remarkable results regarding children’s readiness to enter kindergarten. In addition, the quality of instruction provided and learner engagement in developing basic knowledge in literacy and numeracy were noted positively by the state. Finally, it should be stressed that the administration of the school is making continuous attempts to enhance learning among younger students.
