The recent event involving Riverside Elementary School is one of the improvements that have been made to ensure increased safety in the area. As part of measures being put in place in the City of Crestview, the "School Zone Speed Safety Program" came into existence in February 2026. This will involve installing speed cameras along East Redstone Avenue near Riverside Elementary School to make sure that motorists conform to the laid-down regulations. A thirty-day grace period will be provided for the motorists.
