Hollister Prep is a public charter school in Hollister that serves students in grades K–8 and does not charge tuition. The school has about 530 to 550 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 30 to 1. Hollister Prep has a structured academic program that starts in elementary school and focuses on literacy, math, and skills that will help students get ready for college. The majority of students are Hispanic, and about 90% of them are from minority groups, which is similar to the demographics of the area. About 52% of students are good at math and about 67% are good at English Language Arts.The amount of money spent on each student is in line with what most California public charter schools get. Hollister Prep is located in a family-friendly neighborhood where home prices are lower than in bigger Bay Area cities. This means that people in the area are always interested in the school. Overall, the school does well academically and has a clear focus on how well its students are doing.

Hollister Prep recently talked about how students have done better on state tests, with Math and English scores still above the state average. The school also celebrated the fact that a lot of families came to its annual academic awards and community engagement events.

Ans. Yes, the school usually has a dress code to help students stay focused and cut down on distractions in class.

Ans. Hollister Prep is a public charter school, so if there are more applications than seats, it can use a lottery system to make sure that everyone has a fair chance to get in.

Ans. Yes, the school provides special education support services that follow state and federal rules to help all students.

Ans. Most students can use school meal programs, which give families free or low-cost lunches if they meet certain requirements.
