In February 2026, Accelerated Achievement Academy said that seventh-grader Desaray Azevedo had been chosen for the Central Coast Honor Band. This was the second time in three years that she had been chosen for the group. She also got a $1,000 scholarship for summer band camp, one of five students who did.
