Lincoln Elementary's Leopards made their annual showing at the Cinco de Mayo parade in Dinuba — one of the community's most visible events, and a tradition the school takes seriously year after year. Around the same time, the school's homepage confirmed Lincoln's active Green Shield status, which means the campus holds a recognized state-level designation for responsible pest management practices. Under Principal Mrs. Melissa Vega, the 607-student campus continues its regular programming without any leadership gaps.

FAQ

Q1. Does Lincoln Elementary offer a Gifted and Talented Education program?

Ans. Yes, Lincoln has a GATE program for qualifying students. If you think your child may be eligible, the school office is the right first contact — they can walk you through how the referral process works within Dinuba Unified and what the testing looks like.

Q2. What after-school programs does Lincoln offer?

Ans. Lincoln participates in the DUSD Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, which runs after the regular school day ends. The program covers academic enrichment and student activities. The best way to find out what's currently available is to check with the front office or download the ParentSquare app, which the school uses for real-time updates.

Q3. Does Lincoln Elementary have support for migrant students?

Ans. Yes. DUSD has a dedicated Migrant Education program that serves students whose families work in seasonal agriculture, which is a real part of life in this part of Tulare County. Lincoln, like other campuses in the district, connects eligible students and families to this program for academic and social support.

Q4. Is there a school counselor at Lincoln?

Ans. Yes. Lincoln has a school counselor on staff who supports students with social-emotional needs alongside academic challenges. The school also follows the PBIS model, which builds in positive behavior support across all grade levels rather than addressing issues only when they come up.

Q5. How does Lincoln Elementary involve parents in the school community?

Ans. The school actively encourages family participation through the parent organization and regularly scheduled school events. Lincoln also uses ParentSquare as its communication platform, which lets families get announcements, messages from teachers, and school news in one place. Downloading the app is the simplest way for any new family to stay connected from day one.
