Colton, an Inland Empire community in San Bernardino County, reflects its diverse and family-oriented nature in its elementary schools. Colton has about 55,000 people living there. It is a multicultural place to live, and it is easy to get to nearby cities like San Bernardino and Riverside. The Colton Joint Unified School District runs about 18–19 elementary schools that serve more than 10,000 young students. The average student–teacher ratio is about 21:1. Schools focus on basic academics, bilingual education, and extracurricular activities that help a wide range of students. Colton is still a wonderful place for families with school-aged kids to live because the community is very active and there are many public schools nearby.
