The Antioch Unified School District named Samantha Marquardt, a K-2 Special Day Class teacher at Marsh Elementary, Teacher of the Year. She came in second place. It was specifically said that her work in leading inclusive practices, helping students with disabilities, and mentoring coworkers were all examples of great school leadership. The Mission PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) held fun and welcoming events in late 2025. These events were connected to Mission Elementary.
