The Paradise Honors program is a public career and technical education (CTE) program that takes place at Paradise Honors High School in Surprise, Arizona. The Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC) runs it, and most of the students are juniors and seniors from partner school districts. Students go to West-MEC part-time and Paradise Honors High School at the same time. The program teaches health sciences, information technology, engineering, skilled trades, business, and public safety in a way that meets the standards of the field. The program doesn't say how many students each teacher has, but it does focus on teaching students career and technical skills in small groups and one-on-one. Around 55% of students are good at math and around 60% are good at reading (ELA). This means they are doing well in school and getting ready for their jobs. Students take Arizona state tests and the SAT or ACT to get ready for college.
