Being Updated
Saddleback Elementary School is a public school in the Maricopa Unified School District (MUSD) that teaches kids from Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade. The address is 18600 N Porter Road, Maricopa, AZ 85138. According to recent reports, the school has about 700–750 students and a student-teacher ratio of about 13:1, which is better than the average for schools in Arizona. There are a lot of different kinds of students, with about 76% being minorities, mostly Hispanic. Academic proficiency is a problem: only about 29% of students are good at math and only 33% are good at reading/ELA, which is well below the state averages of about 34% and 40%, respectively.
The school puts a lot of effort into making the school a good place to be, where students are pushed to do well in school, given social and emotional support, and kept interested in learning through new ways of teaching.
