The Academies at Jonesboro High School recently reached a big goal when the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation gave the Step Team a $50,000 grant to help it grow and have a bigger effect. In addition to this big event, the team has also gotten a new rehearsal space just for them. This will help them make their community outreach and performance training programs better. The campus is also changing how it honors academic success for the class of 2026 by adding new Honor Graduate requirements that stress finishing the Smart Core curriculum and mastering a foreign language.
