Riverton Elementary School welcomed a new Principal, Dr. Andrea Datson, who brings community experience as its school leader as well. The school received a grant of $10,000 from the state of Alabama for new programs and resources for students. The school will be safe, with Riverton Elementary School included in the implementation of the OpenGate Detection System with Madison County Schools. Also, very soon the students may be able to participate in the district’s Fire Science Program with hands-on learning in safety and science. With strong leadership, new funding, and innovative options, Riverton Elementary School is enhancing student success and community engagement.
