During the 2024–25 school year, 1R ELEMENTARY participated in district initiatives aimed at strengthening early literacy and building strong classroom communities across Grand Island Public Schools. Teachers incorporated new reading materials, book clubs, and small-group conferences to better match texts with student interests.

Ans. Teachers use phonics lessons, read-alouds, and small-group lessons that are right for each student.
