Newark, Delaware, is a small city in New Castle County with about 30,500 people living there (2024 estimate). It is the third largest city in Delaware. Newark is about 15 km west of Wilmington and is home to the University of Delaware. It has a friendly college town feel, with suburban-style living, parks, walkable downtown areas, and a wide range of cultural and recreational activities. There are about 37 schools in the city, with 27 of them being public and 10 being private. Newark is home to schools that have won top honors.
