Sam Kinsman

A coach, teacher, and guide at heart, Sam Kinsman has mentored students and clients in many different fields and settings over the past decade. Shortly after graduating from Brown University, where he majored in Economics with a 3.79 GPA, Sam began tutoring students for the SAT and embarked on a highly successful career in education consulting.

Over the years, Sam has worked with numerous renowned international education companies, guiding students through the university admissions process from start to finish while also helping them prepare for standardized tests. He has led dozens of students to 99th percentile scores on tests such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, and TOEFL, with many achieving score improvements of 250+ points on the SAT and 8+ points on the ACT. Sam has also written test prep curricula, developed test-taking strategies, trained teachers, and led teams of tutors.?

As an admissions consultant, Sam works with applicants to both undergraduate and graduate programs in a wide range of fields. He has become an expert at guiding students through the introspective journey of developing compelling narratives for their application essays and helping students find their authentic voice through an iterative drafting process. Sam also mentors high school students on long-term strategic profile development through capstone projects, extracurricular planning, course selection, and internship applications.
