Germantown, Maryland, is a busy suburb in Montgomery County with about 55,000 people living there. It is not far from the Washington, D.C., metro area and is known for having many different cultures and being good for families. Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is one of the best school districts in Maryland and serves this area. It has four public middle schools, including Kingsview and Roberto W. Clemente, that do about as well as or a little better than the state average in math and reading. There are about ten private schools in addition to the public ones.
