The school has 14:1 students  teacher ratio and is committed to making sure that all students are healthy in a welcoming environment. Half of the students are female and half are male. Some of these are the Boys & Girls Club, Science Bound, and special empowerment groups like Brother 2 Brother and Sisters for Success. Hiatt is a primary focus for the 2026 bond project, which includes plans for new building additions and labs. The school is currently launching expanded pre-K services on-site to better serve the local community.
