The Association of California School Administrators Region 18 named Katie Friedrichs, the principal of Oak Crest Middle School, the 2026 Middle Grades Principal of the Year. The Honoring Our Own awards ceremony on April 25, 2026, will be the official time for her to be honored. The title sets her apart from other regional administrators who were chosen through the ACSA recognition program.
