Newport Senior High School is a public high school in Bellevue, Washington. It is in the Bellevue School District and teaches students in grades 9 through 12. There are about 1,900 to 2,000 students at the school, and one teacher for every 18 students. This creates a structured and academically difficult place to learn. There are eight high schools in the district, and Newport Senior High School is one of them. It is also the third-best high school in Washington. The Newport Robotics Group (NRG) takes part in the FIRST Robotics Competition, which is part of Newport Senior High School's successful robotics program. The school also has a great music program. The orchestra has won awards at national competitions. Newport High School has also put in place security measures, such as barriers at the entrance, to make the school safer.
