The school has about 1,400 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 15:1, which makes it possible for each student to get individualized academic instruction. The school also sets up SAT and ACT testing for students. Green Run High School has a diverse student body. About 77% of students are minorities, and about 79% of students are from low-income families. The amount of money the district gives each student is in line with local standards. This is the best school in Virginia Beach.
