Green Run Collegiate is a public high school in Virginia Beach, Virginia that draws students from all over the area. It is part of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools division and serves students in grades 9 through 12. There are about 1,000 to 1,100 students at the school, and there is one teacher for every 15 students. This helps make the academic environment more focused and organized. Green Run Collegiate is one of the 12 high schools in the district. It has IB classes and tests that are supposed to make students think more critically, be more aware of the world, and work harder in school. About 79% of students are in the IB program, which means they are very interested in higher-level academics. About 71% of the students are minorities and about 83% of them come from families with low incomes. There are a lot of different points of view in the school community. Reports say that 89% of students are good at math and 95% are good at reading (ELA) for the school year 2025–2026. Students also take the SAT and ACT as part of their college readiness efforts.
