About Wakefield High

Wakefield High School is a public high school in Arlington, VA. It is a school in the Arlington County Public Schools system. It is for kids in grades 9–12. The school has between 1,800 and 1,900 students, and there are 15 teachers for every 1,000 students. This makes the place where you learn interesting and focused. There are four high schools in the district, and Wakefield High School is one of them and it is on of the best high school in Virginia. Half of the students are taking AP classes, which shows that they really want to work hard in school. Students can also take honors classes, career and technical education pathways, and a lot of other things outside of school that help them get ready for college and work. There are a lot of different kinds of students at the school. As part of their plans for after high school, students also take the SAT and ACT.

The robotics program at Wakefield High School is growing, giving students more chances to design and create things. The school's new dining hall is a great place for people to connect and work together. Students recently took part in the Chesapeake Bay Foundation Field Program, where they learned about the Bay's science and ecology. Also, the winners of Wakefield's poetry contest, Theo Fusarelli and MacKayla Natalini, had their work shown on Arlington ART buses.
