Lubbock-Cooper High School is a public high school in Lubbock, Texas. It is part of the Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District. There are about 1,940 students at the school, and there are about 11 students for every teacher. This helps with good teaching and makes sure that each student gets the attention they need. The college-prep curriculum at Lubbock-Cooper High School includes Advanced Placement (AP) classes, electives that focus on careers, and extracurricular activities to help students get ready for college and their future jobs. About 49% of the students are minorities, mostly Hispanic, but there are also White and other ethnic groups. The students are doing well in school. 58% of them are good at math and 71% are good at reading (ELA), which is better than the state average for both subjects. Students take college entrance exams like the SAT and ACT on a regular basis to help them get ready for life after high school. There are also a lot of extracurricular activities at Lubbock-Cooper High School, such as sports, clubs, and fine arts programs.

This week, the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates' basketball team ended a four-game losing streak on the road with a big win. This got the students excited and raised their hopes for the playoffs as the district competition heats up in the air.
