There are about 32,500 people living in Del Rio, which is a pretty border town in Val Verde County. Being close to the Rio Grande has a big effect on it. It makes it feel "rural" and like a safe, warm place to live. Public high schools in this area do very well, and specialized campuses get "A" ratings for how ready their students are for college and how well they do in school.
