Northwestern High School is currently benefiting from recent improvements to its facilities, such as upgraded specialized learning spaces that support its wide range of elective courses. The school's Applied Technology Center programs are still getting more popular. Recently, students took part in state-level competitions for engineering and health sciences. The Northwestern Troubadours and band programs have also done well in recent regional tests, showing that the school is still dedicated to excellence in the performing arts.
