Being Updated
Miami University’s Early College Academy enables Columbus-area high school juniors and seniors to earn an Associate Degree in Arts in General Studies while completing their diploma. Tuition, books and fees are covered. Students take 15 college credits per semester, with help from success coaches, advising and tutoring as they navigate a college campus environment. The program is designed for first-generation and underrepresented students, removing financial barriers and accelerating pathways to in-demand careers or bachelor’s degrees. By May 2026, more than 100 students will have earned an associate degree at no cost before leaving high school.

Ans. Yes, students learn how to communicate, work as a team, and solve problems, which are all important skills for any job.

Ans. Yes, Early College Academy has a lot of different programs that help students find out what they're good at and what they like.
Q3. Are there chances to improve students teamwork skills?
Ans. Yes, group projects, clubs, and sports help students work together and talk to each other clearly.
Q4. Do students get help with standardized tests?
Ans. Yes. Yes, The school has resources to help students get ready for the SAT and ACT tests.
Q5. How does Early College Academy encourage a good environment?
Ans. To make the space safe, welcoming, and open to everyone, people are told to be respectful, work together, and be responsible.
