It is one of eight high schools in the Yonkers City School District and serves students in grades 9–12. The school has about 1,400 to 1,600 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 15:1, which makes it a medium-sized urban high school. Roosevelt High School—Early College Studies has a college-preparatory curriculum and gives students the chance to earn college credits while still in high school. The school doesn't say how many students take Advanced Placement® classes, but it does focus on programs that help students get ready for college and do well in school. latest news & World Report says that the school is the 898th best in New York. According to proficiency data for the 2025–2026 school year, 38% of students met math standards and 72% met reading/ELA standards. The student body is diverse, with 89% of students being minorities and about 82% of students coming from low-income families. The new programs at Roosevelt High School - Early College Studies are making a big splash! The school recently held a ceremony to honor 37 students who became fluent in more than one language. This shows how much the school cares about language education. Also, the school's Army JROTC cadets won seven trophies, four of which were for first place. This shows how good they are at leading and working together. The school is also focused on health and wellness.
