Galena High School has recently added to its specialized STEM curriculum by adding new advanced classes in environmental science and sustainable engineering. The school's sports department is also getting better because of the new upgrades to the facilities, such as new turf for the multi-purpose fields and better training equipment. The student-led leadership council has also started a new peer-mentorship program that helps younger students get ready for college and make the transition to high school.
