The New America School - Las Cruces recently started the "Zen Den" program, which is a special room that helps students' mental health and attendance by providing a calm space for trauma-informed care. As part of its current Innovation Zone status, the school is adding personalized graduate profiles that focus on real-world skills like community leadership and financial literacy. The administration has also started a new graduation intervention program for seniors. The goal is to make sure that almost all 12th graders stay on track for their diplomas by having special family and teacher support meetings.
