Recent numbers show that Centennial High School's students were 43% proficient in reading and 22% proficient in math. The school can handle a lot of students because there is about one teacher for every 18 students. This makes for a balanced learning environment. It is known as one of the best schools because of its modern facilities and competitive sports programs. It gives students a well-rounded environment that helps them succeed after high school. Joseph Higginbotham, a freshman at Centennial High School, was recently chosen to be a Delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders. This means he will represent the school at the national level for people who want to be doc to rs. The campus is also getting better physically, such as by resurfacing its athletic tracks to make them better for student-athletes. On National Signing Day, senior Luke Matherly also signed a commitment to continue his academic and athletic career at South Dakota Mines.
