It is one of five high schools in the Fargo Public Schools district and has about 1,100 students. There are 12 students for every teacher. A 30% participation rate in Advanced Placement® classes shows that students are encouraged to take hard classes. Recent data shows that 29% of people are good at math and 42% are good at reading. Several seniors from South High School were recently named to the 2026 North Dakota Academic All-State Team because of their academic success and leadership in the community. This is just one way that the school is honoring its students' great work. The school is also one of the main pilot sites for a new district-wide program that uses special privileges and rewards to encourage students to come to school more often. The baseball program is also getting ready for a tough 2026 season with a lot of talented players who want to make it to the state tournament.

Ans. South High School puts a lot of emphasis on planning for college. It gives students the tools and help they need to sign up for the ACT and SAT.

Ans. Well-known band and choir programs give students the chance to compete at the state and regional levels.

Ans. Students in school can take part in hands-on technical programs that teach them useful skills for a number of trades and industries.
