Before the 2026 season, Eugene Ashley High School hired Adam Purzitza as its new head football coach. He has 15 years of experience and has had success coaching in the area. In December, Wilmington native and WNBA player Saniya Rivers returned to the school, where they retired her No. 22 jersey in honor of her accomplishments.
