Panther Creek High School is a public high school in Cary, North Carolina, that is part of the Wake County Public School System. It serves students in grades 9–12. The school has about 2,400 to 2,600 students and a student-teacher ratio of about 17:1. This makes for a big, structured space that helps with both hard academics and a wide range of extracurricular activities. Panther Creek High School has a full academic program that includes college-preparatory courses, Advanced Placement (AP) classes, International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, career and technical education (CTE) pathways, fine arts, and sports. The students come from a wide range of backgrounds, just like the people in Cary. About 56% of students are good at math and about 89% are good at reading (ELA). This shows that students are doing well in both subjects. The state and local governments pay for Panther Creek High School because it is a public school. Students take college-readiness tests like the SAT and ACT.

After a student was hit by a car while crossing McCrimmon Parkway in October, parents and neighbors near Panther Creek High School are calling for immediate improvements to traffic safety. Leaders in the town say that plans for signals and better walking paths are moving forward to keep students safe.
