Cary, North Carolina is home to Green Hope High School, a public high school. It is a part of the Wake County Public School System and teaches students in grades 9 through 12. The school has a good mix of academics and extracurricular activities for its large student body of about 2,400 to 2,600 students. The student-to-teacher ratio is about 17:1. Green Hope High School has a hard academic program with college-prep classes, Advanced Placement (AP) classes, International Baccalaureate (IB) programs, career and technical education (CTE) pathways, fine arts, and sports. It also helps students join a lot of clubs, play sports, and take on leadership roles. Like the people who live in Cary and the areas around it, the students come from a wide range of backgrounds. About 62% of students are good at math and about 90% are good at reading (ELA). The state and local governments give Green Hope High School money because it is a public school. The SAT and ACT are two college-readiness tests that students take.
