North Forrest High School is a well-known public high school in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It is the only high school in the Forrest County School District. The school teaches students in grades 9 through 12 and keeps its student body at about 350, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 13:1. It is known as one of the best schools in the area, and it shows a strong commitment to core academic success, especially in math, where 80% of students are proficient. The student body is made up of people from many different backgrounds. 85% of students are minorities, and 85% of them are economically disadvantaged, and it is one of the best High School in "Mississippi" . North Forrest High School helps students get ready for college and careers by giving them important tests like the ACT. People know that the school is a good place to learn because it is dedicated to giving everyone the same chances to learn in a close-knit community. The school stands out because its students do well in math and because it is a key part of the district's academic growth.

North Forrest High School recently crowned its 2026 Mr. and Miss North Forrest. This was a way to honor students who are active in the Beta Club, Student Council, and a variety of sports. The Eagle Pride Community Pep Rally and other big events on campus are helping to build community spirit among students as they get ready for district tournament play. The school is also working with William Carey University to offer more career-ready classes, which lets students earn up to 18 hours of college credit while still in high school.
