Gorham is a lovely college town with about 18,000 people. It is known for its strong community ties and its connection to the University of Southern Maine. The public schools in the city are often ranked as some of the best in Maine, and the high school education is top-notch. The curriculum focuses on doing well in school, and the students have great reading and math scores. Some schools have been recognized by the state and the country for being ready for college. Gorham is a great place for families who want their kids to do well in school and have a lot of fun doing sports and arts outside of school.
