About Biddeford High School

Biddeford High School is the only public high school in the district for grades 9 through 12 and is known as one of the best schools in Southern Maine. With about 750 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 11:1, it is one of the best schools for integrating career and technical education. The school is known for its strong relationship with the regional center of technology, which gives students a lot of options for vocational and college-preparatory studies. The student body is made up of 24% minorities and 59% of students are from low-income families. The performance metrics show that 57% of students are good at reading and 34% are good at math, and it is one of the best high school in Maine. The school offers SAT and ACT testing to help students move up. The campus is known for being community-oriented, with an average cost of $15,800 per student. Recently, Biddeford High School held its quarterly honors ceremony to honor its Tiger Pride students for their leadership and academic achievements. The Center of Technology at the school is also growing successfully. Students in the culinary and au to motive programs are getting hands-on experience through new partnerships with businesses. Also, the athletic department recently reached a big goal when a number of student-athletes won to p spots at the regional wrestling and track championships.
