Northwest High School held an Incoming 9th Grade Parent Meeting on January 22, 2026, which gave parents useful information. The school is also working on getting students ready for college and jobs. The College Career Information Center has resources for this. Northwest High School also has a Diversity Night event planned for January 30, 2026, to encourage diversity and acceptance. The school's football team has also done well, with recent win against Walter Johnson High School by a score of 45–7.
