See top schools in WorcesterDoherty Memorial High School is a public high school in Worcester, Massachusetts that serves students in grades 9 through 12. The school is part of the Worcester Public Schools district and has between 1,200 and 1,300 students. There are about 13 students for every teacher, which keeps class sizes small and lets teachers work with students one-on-one. Doherty Memorial High offers a wide range of classes, including core academic subjects, Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, electives, and extracurricular activities like sports, clubs, and arts programs. The school wants to help students get ready for college and work by giving them advanced classes, AP classes, and support programs that are made just for them. About 33% of students are good at math and about 44% are good at reading (ELA). The school also helps students study for the SAT and other tests they need to pass to get into college. The students come from all over, just like the people in Worcester. Doherty Memorial High School is a great place to learn because it is well-organized.
