About Claremont Academy

Teenagers in grades 9 through 12 can go to Claremont Academy, a public alternative high school in Worcester, Massachusetts. This school is run by Worcester Public Schools and is for kids who learn better in a different way. Claremont Academy is a school that helps students graduate. We do this by making sure they can catch up on credits, giving them lessons that are right for them, and giving them different ways to learn. We make sure that every student has what they need to learn well. That means we have the main subjects, fun electives, and special programs that are meant to help each kid learn more. About 14% of kids are good with numbers and about 32% are good at reading and writing. This means that students can do better in school. Things like the SAT, the school really gets students ready for college entrance exams. They also stress a lot that it's very important for kids to grow up not only in their schoolwork but also in their social lives.
