Recently, Istrouma High School sold a bond worth millions of dollars to pay for major improvements to the campus, such as a new multi-purpose playing field and repairs to the historic auditorium. The school is still growing its Academic and Digital Media Magnet programs, which give students the chance to learn about high-demand STEM fields and broadcasting through hands-on activities. The Istrouma football team also recently won the District 7-4A Championship, which is a big deal in the school's and the community's sports history.
