In Fort Wayne, Indiana, South Side High School is a public high school for grades 9–12. It is one of six high schools in the Fort Wayne Community Schools district. The school has about 1,400 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 18:1, which helps students stay interested in their studies. South Side High School is known as one of the best schools that offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. About 7% of students take IB classes and exams, and the school also has college-preparatory and career-focused programs.The student body is very diverse, with about 83% of students from minority groups and 69% of students reporting economic disadvantage. The International Baccalaureate program is still only available at South Side High School in the district. A few students are getting ready for their global capstone tests right now. The school's 3DE model program recently let student entrepreneurs and national business partners work together to solve real-world problems in the business world. The athletic department also put on several successful inter-district basketball and gymnastics events in early 2026. These events showed off the school's new facilities to the rest of the Fort Wayne community.
