There is only one high school in the Carmel Clay Schools district, and that is Carmel High School. It is a public school in Carmel, Indiana, that teaches grades 9–12. There are about 4,000 students at the school, and the student-to-teacher ratio is about 21:1. This makes for a structured and helpful place to learn. One of the best schools in the state is Carmel High School. About 60% of the students take Advanced Placement (AP) classes and tests. There are also honors programs and college-prep paths. There are a lot of different kinds of students at the school. About 34% are minorities, and about 13% say they are economically disadvantaged. For the 2025–2026 school year, about 70% of students were good at math and about 84% were good at reading. The school gives students SAT and ACT tests to help them get ready for college. Carmel High School is in a suburban area that has been around for a long time and has high median home values. It looks good because of its tough academics, programs that help students, and chances for everyone.
